Using a special controller, XIM, or anything else is NOT cheating. People have been using macros and weird input setups on PC since PC gaming was a thing, and it has never been considered cheating and thus it should not on console either.

Re: Purchased a xim apex instead of a cronus zen XIM has by far the best mouse aim translation, but doesn't support cheat mods for ethical reasons (it's not a cheat device). Zen has poor mouse aim translation (very obvious on diagonals), but supports cheat mods.

XIM uses human input so it's not cheating. It's 100% human skill. If aiming is done automatically with no human input then it's cheating.

Are Xims against Xbox TOS?
Right now Xim users are a plauge in Rainbow Six Siege for Xbox. Ubisoft has stated that using these adapters is against their TOS but they have no way to enforce the ban.

To cut a long story short, using a Cronus Zen is cheating because it isn't a default machine/feature/option. Instead, it is a third-party device that only a handful of players can own to get better.
Is using a XIM Bannable Destiny 2?
At least on ps5, bungie can effectively ban xim by requiring dual sense controller to play (excluding the 3rd party old-gen controllers which have been used by xim users for their authentication).
