How much boost can you run on stock internals?
on a stock ls1/ls2. These boost numbers can be plenty safe so long as the car has the proper tune. that PSI *can* be safe detonation wise (with a really good tune!)...but common evidence suggests that 500-550rwhp is about the limit of stock internals, mainly the pistons and con rods begin to start dying over 550rwhp.
How much power can you get out a VQ?
The engines under evaluation are a V8, the VQ series V6 and the RB series engine stroked to 2.8 litres. Apparently all of these engines are being tested in normally aspirated and turbocharged forms. Unfortunately it seems that the VQ is only good for 400 kw (538 hp) before the block cracks.
How much turbo boost is safe?
If you have a stock engine, with a compressor that is factory set to produce no more than twenty pounds of boost, you shouldn't modify the system to make it produce much more than 25 pounds of boost. And increase of 5 pounds over stock is probably the limit you should go by.

What turbo is used in SOHO?
The SOHO Motorsports Single Turbo kit uses the newest Turbo by Garrett GTX 35 series turbo, the GTX3582R. Garrett turbos are a mainstay in the industry and have proven to be one of the best turbo manufacturers on the planet. We chose the GTX turbo over the normal GT turbo series because the GTX turbo remains in a higher efficiency range on the compressor map for a longer duration than the regular GT turbo thanks to its new design. The GTX is a water and oil cooled, ball bearing turbo with a billet compressor wheel that features a ported shroud compressor housing to increase surge resistance, a design that is unique to only the GTX turbo series.
What is SOHO turbo kit?
The entirety of the SOHO Motorsports single turbo kit is made from high quality stainless steel. Stainless is used, rather than the industry standard of aluminum, because it has almost a tenth of the heat transfer coefficient of aluminum, which means that it does not absorb heat as quickly as aluminum. Along with the reduced coefficient of heat transfer, stainless steel is also much much more durable and has a very minimal weight difference than aluminum. Using the best quality materials and our unique piping layout, our kit is designed specifically to not only reduce heat soak in the engine bay but also reduce turbo lag, boost creep and boost fall off as seen on many other kits.
How does piping size affect turbo outlet?
Sustaining the piping size equivalent to the turbo outlet allows for the air to keep the same velocity until it travels to the intercooler where changes in pressure allow for the air to increase in velocity as it makes its way towards the throttle body.
What is a GTX turbo?

Why does my 350z fade?
Excessive engine heat is one of the biggest reasons for fading performance. This isn’t uncommon in the world of forced induction, especially if you live in a hotter climate. If your 350z makes a lot more power than what it is designed for, it’s natural for it to generate extremely high levels of heat.
Why do you need a turbocharger?

Can I use an intercooler on a turbo?
Adding an intercooler is also a good idea on a turbo setup as the intake charge gains quite a bit of heat running through the turbo as it's compressed. A twin turbo using smaller GT2871R turbos worked really well with 1000cc injectors, and the twin turbos helped reduce the low end lag you get with larger single turbos.
Does the Nissan GT-S have a supercharger?
Nissan did release a GT-S version with a supercharger giving another 100bhp or so over earlier models. This approach minimises blowback and boosts the velocity of air entering and leaving the engine.
