Twitter shares fell after the company reported modest user growth and analysts expressed concerns about Apple’s iOS privacy changes. The company said the impact of Apple’s changes were less than expected in the third quarter and will be modest in the fourth quarter.
TWTR -9.67% fell Friday after Elon Musk said his deal to buy the social-media company was “on hold.” Shares of Twitter shed $4.36, or 9.7%, to $40.72, its the lowest level since April 1, just before Mr. Musk disclosed a surprise 9% stake in the company.
