What makes the squidtrainer different?
The Squidtrainer's heat treated blade is significantly stronger and can therefore withstand much more wear and abuse without any chance of bending. Additionally, the Squidtrainer has a unique machined handle texture pattern which results in better grip.
What is the difference between the Squiddy and Squiddy-U?
The Squiddy is made of CPVC material, but does not have the weighted nose pin like the Squiddy-B or Squiddy-U. Both the Squiddy-B and Squiddy-U are made of the same material, Acetal, an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts.
What kind of blade does the squidtrainer use?
The Squidtrainer V3.5 uses a channel handle design in addition to an extremely durable heat treated 410 stainless steel trainer blade. During hard drops on surfaces like concrete or gravel, the Mako and Triton blade may bend similar to a spoon or fork (although it's very easy to straighten out with just your hands).

Can you bring a Balisong trainer to the airport?
Balisong trainer knives, also called Squiddy knives are banned in hand luggage but they're allowed in checked luggage. According to TSA, they fall under the category of “fake knives and toy knives resembling real knives”, which are banned in hand luggage. Balisong trainer knives are legal in all US states.
Can I bring a squiddy to public?
Travel. On a similar note to public friendliness, the Squiddy balisong trainer is TSA safe. You can fly with it in your carry on baggage and flip it at the airport.
Is the squiddy durable?
The squid shaves weight, and keeps a balanced, smooth feel to it. It feels just like a full metal trainer. It is extremely durable, and I have dropped it countless times, with out damage. It is the perfect travel companion, I just keep it I'm my pocket everywhere I go, and just place it in the tray at TSA.
