Finally told my wife I'm on subs

I just wanted to update because all of you have been there for me through this. I've been taking subs for a past tianeptine / oxy addiction and hadn't told my wife. I hadn't even told her about the addiction. The other night I finally told her. I was expecting her to leave me, but instead she said she wanted to be there for me.

Just wanted to say thanks and show my gratitude to all the helpful and selfless people on this sub

There’s something about this side of Reddit, or us brain damaged people, that translates into compassion and genuine care for one another. The rest of reddit is full of keyboard warriors and politics and insults you lose sleep over. But not here. Genuinely helpful people.

Day 2 no sub after 15 years

I did it. I fucking did it and jumped. Gave all my films to my neighbor so it's not in the house. I have to be honest I took 2 capsules of tobacco shop kratom to sleep last 2 nights but im only taking it at bedtime. And the bare minimum. I feel stronger than ever mentally and ready to get this over with.

30 days sober from suboxone

I was on suboxone for 8 years after an addiction to heroin. I can proudly say I have made it an entire month without taking suboxone and I have never felt more free in my entire life. The first few weeks were extremely difficult and I was hospitalized once from anxiety but all of those symptoms are starting to subside.

Is it normal to nod off on suboxone?

My husband has been on suboxone since 2012. At first everything was great. Now over the last few years it’s been getting worse and worse. He’s nodding off every second of the day. He’s nodding off while driving. I won’t even let him drive when I’m with him.

42 days off Suboxone

Check my post history for all the details of my taper and jump if you want…

Words of encouragement if you are wanting to get off subs

I have been very involved with these recovery groups through my own recovery and they have been so beneficial for me in my recovery. On June 4th I came off 24mg a day for nine years (never missed ONE dose for nine years) and did an 8 day taper (which was brutal). I did go to a detox facility for the worst of it and then came home after 23 days.
