Quarterly revenue fell slightly from the same year-ago period, to roughly $3.544 billion and -- based on generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) -- translated to net income attributable to Aramark shareholders of $83.3 million, or $0.33 per diluted share.

Looking forward to fiscal year 2017, Aramark expects adjusted earnings per share to be in the range of $1.85 to $1.95 -- the midpoint of which sits slightly below analysts' expectations for 2017 adjusted earnings of $1.91 per share.
