Why do people hate Intel stock coolers?

My main complaint with Intel stock coolers, at least on non-k chips, is that they are just too loud. It does exactly what it's designed to do within the specifications of the CPU.

Why does Intel use the same stock cooler as AMD?

The answer to that is the reason why Intel uses that exact stock cooler. They figured that the amount of time and effort into their cooler was commiserate with it's use and value.

Is the stock cooler that bad?

I wouldn't say the stock cooler is bad but you could do better. The stock cooler will be fine for full load on stock speeds but Overclocking on the stock cooler is not that great of an idea.

Is the stock GPU cooler loud?

The stock cooler isn't that loud. I though it was a bit loud just because it was audible, but after getting a GTX 590... No. That stock cooler is quiet on stock clocks compared to the leaf blower cooling that dual Fermi GPU card...

Are stock Intel coolers good enough?

If you're not overclocking, then the stock cooler will be fine, but it'll be noisy. Even on full load it's not noisy at all actually.

Is Intel stock cooler good enough for gaming?

If you are talking about the stock coolers then yes, they are good enough for normal and gaming use if you don't mind the loud scream it makes when your cpu is at a higher load.

Is stock cooler enough for i7 10700?

Titan. Well, no, not really. The curve is fine but the 10700 is a pretty power intensive CPU and the stock cooler is barely adequate to maintain base clocks, even at full blast. The rating Intel gives it is tiny compared to its potential output.

Is Intel stock cooler good for overclocking?

It'll be fine unless you overclock it. Besides F chips aren't unlocked so you won't be getting very far. Stock cooler will be fine but I'd still recommend an aftermarket. If you're going budget, get a "Cooler Master Hyper 212." They come in RGB and no RGB variants, and they're very good value.

Do Intel stock coolers have thermal paste?

All Intel CPUs that come with an included boxed cooler also come with thermal paste. The thermal paste is either applied directly to the included cooler's heatsink or is included in a tube.

Should I use the stock CPU cooler?

Yes a stock cooler is enough for stock settings in most cases. On more warmer CPUs such as the 4790k or 6700 (non-k) expect fairly warm tempretures and at times it can be abit noisy.

Does i7 10700K get hot?

Titan. A 10700k uses quite a bit more power, than a 3700x, so it will run hotter. Your motherboard might be set to run multicore enhancment, (MCE), by default.

Do I need cooler for i7 10700K?

For example, the 10700K uses an LGA 1200 socket, so you would search for an LGA 1200 CPU cooler. In some cases, such as when a new socket size is released, there may not be many compatible coolers.

No. They are all the same except the base that plugs into the mobo may be different.

Is AMD stock cooler good?

The stock cooler is a great cooler for the price and will run cooler and quieter. If you are not overclocking or doing a really mild overclock, then the stock cooler is great. The stock cooler is fine (for anything) as long as you're not overclocking.

Can you overclock CPU with stock cooler?

Yes you can OC with stock cooler, but the temps will be very hot and it will throttle. The only job of af heatsink is to cool down your CPU which the stock heatsink simply can't do.

How safe it is build my pc without an antistatic wristband?

Don't have one at the moment, and it could take a while getting one. It's my first pc ever and i dont't want to make any mistakes.

Very loud pop happened inside my pc, it threw the breaker for my room, and when I took the pc out this little thing fell out. Any ideas of what this is and why my PSU exploded?

Everything was plugged into a surge protector which is fine and so are all the other electronics plugged in the house.

A brief guide to IGPs and low-end GPUs

Intel's HD Graphics, now known as UHD Graphics consists of essentially two relevant generations for desktop CPUs:

Ok so I pretty much have decided on an i7-4790k for the most part for the CPU I want to buy for my new build.

A lot better than the AMD stock cooler (from my experience anyways). It's really okay, it's a bit hot and not in anyway silent but it will do just fine on stock clocks. Going with it for a while, while saving up for a new good cooler (instead of spending money on a sub par 212 Evo) definitely wouldn't be a bad idea.

look at Broly in your avatar imagine he is your cpu and the waves of energy around him are the flames flying around him because the stock cooler cant contain that much power

achillesviper

its OKAY to get you by, but it is disgustingly loud. and for $30 you can get a 212 evo, so why not?
