Why are some stock prices different than others?

Dec 12, 2018 · Just the last min, it plunged 20 pips. But on other platform, there is no such plunge. This abnormal behaviour is what triggered me to 'investigate' the discrepancy between prices on different platform. On most if not all other weekends, the spread of different platform though may vary but they (bid-ask spread) overlap each other.

I have just recently started reading and trading using brokers and just wanna know why brokers have different peices to one another on the same instruments? Ex US500 on is different on both of the brokers at the same time while the market is open, is there any way to find out which one is correct?

You talking about different Times & Sales info lots/contract info, different Bid & Ask info or just the actual price quote only ?

Time lag in network connections, data filters, buffer delays in fact markets. In addition all forex broker show different data.

Curious, did the brokers eventually showed the same data for DJ30 after 2pm est ?

It's a CFD contract. Your broker is free to quote whatever spread they think reasonable. Think forex

Why is less trading volume good?

Less trading volume gives people more liberty in choosing their own selling cost, especially within smaller trading pairs that not many people are using.
