The VLTOR Improved Modstock chassis is made to military specifications. For this reason, VLTOR offers a “raw” version of their Improved Modstock chassis that is uncoated and features a bare carbon composite surface. If you plan on bedding the chassis for accuracy purposes, or to guarantee a lack of heel gap, you may consider purchasing the “raw” variation of the chassis to expedite the bedding preparation process. After bedding the stock, you may coat the stock portion of the chassis in a coating of your choosing. **Please note** Any bedding or modification of the chassis will void your factory warranty.
