What kind of doctor is Kevin Stock?
Hi, my name is Kevin and I'm a dentist who has been on a lifelong mission to discover how to bring about the highest levels of health and fitness. This quest has led me to advocating for a meat-based, “carnivore,” diet.
Is Kevin stock a doctor?
He was the founder, CEO of Muscle Science, a national level physique competitor, and self-experimental researcher and scientist. He began his professional career as a Dental Sleep Medicine dentist where he treated Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) in his private practice.
Parting the Clouds
My life priorities switched
On this horrible day in 2017, the clouds parted just enough that I could see what was glaringly obvious – I had spent 20 years optimizing for building muscle and burning body fat, and I assumed health and longevity and vitality and function and performance were all nice side effects of eating “properly.”
About Kevin Stock
It just so happened that when I turned 30 I was closing my private practice where I was treating obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) to venture full time into two new businesses. Great idea, right? While treating patients’ OSA, I discovered several issues in standard treatment recommendations, which prompted me to start a side project.

Vitamins and Minerals – Plants vs Animals
What did humans evolve to eat? The human brain is the obvious smoking gun that answers the question: what did humans evolve to eat? Carbohydrates and the Carnivore Diet
Vitamins and Minerals – Plants vs Animals Why do we assume plant-based foods are healthy? I used to think it was because fruits and vegetables were a good source of fiber and antioxidants. Health Dangers of Oxalates
The title “Carbohydrates and the Carnivore Diet” doesn’t even make sense. Meat has virtually no carbohydrates. Nearly all carbs and sugars in our diet come from plant-based foods. But here I want to discuss what carbohydrates have to do with the carnivore diet. Over the last few years I’ve done a number of experiments within…
High Protein Diets
Health Dangers of Oxalates In our look at the Health Dangers of Plant-Based Foods we turn to oxalates. These are especially troublesome to the “health conscious.” It is nearly universally accepted that a large spinach salad topped with almonds and sesame seeds is a healthy meal. It goes without question that these leafy greens, that…
Health Dangers of Plant-Based Foods
High Protein Diets For most of my adult life I’ve eaten high protein diets. Throughout high school, college, and dental school – times when body composition was my primary focus – it was clear that eating protein way above RDA guidelines was the way to build muscle, stay lean, and obtain the body composition I…
Dairy and the Carnivore Diet
Health Dangers of Plant-Based Foods The Toxin-Time Continuum In this series finale of the “Health Dangers of a Plant-Based Diet” I want to zoom out and look at the big picture. The health dangers of plant-based foods should be viewed on a continuum. This scale goes from natural toxins to man-enhanced toxins to man-made poisons. And…
Founder, CEO
Dairy and the Carnivore Diet Should you eat dairy on the Carnivore Diet? It’s a controversial topic. You may have heard that milk is healthy. It’s a great source of calcium that keeps your bones and teeth strong. Or you may have heard that it’s unhealthy. And that full fat cream, butter, and cheese make…
