Hi folks, I'm playing around with a 1080p gaming build - having seen that the 5000 series will have the 5600X (well out of my price range) as the lowest spec'd CPU at launch I'm thinking I may end up going for a 3000 series CPU instead.

Time will tell. The 1300X was also short lived. You can either settle on a Ryzen 3 3100, or go up the Ryzen 5.

Picked up a 3080 for MSRP at best buy this morning, only had to camp out 15 hours total

Suck it scalpers. I can finish my build now. Fargo, ND store had 60 people by midnight, but i got there at 5:15pm and was 4th in line. I had planned on buying the 3070 originally, but due to all the salt i received when asking about the 3080 i figured that HAS to be the one to get. Now rage downvote me, im going to bed.

do not cheap out on your power supply!!!

i had a strict budget of 1k when i was building my pc and i had the choice of having a decent power supply and decent graphics card or a shitty power supply and great graphics card and i chose the wrong option🤦🏾‍♂️ while i was on fortnite my power supply started exploding and sparks were coming out and it tripped the fuse trip😂 so just paying an extra 40$ on a good psu could’ve saved my entire 1k rig..

Just got a Newegg shuffle alert and I have 105 minutes to decide whether to buy it

The bundle in question is a $550 EVGA FTW3 3060 Ti and a $130 EVGA G1+ 650W PSU; after tax and shipping I'm looking at $700. Should I get it?

Help a mom out! What else might be wrong?

My son has a gaming pc that was built for him. All of a sudden he couldn’t get a signal from the pc to the display. He also can’t get a signal using an HDMI cable. The display and cables are not the problem as we were able to hook the display up to something else. I already put in a new graphics card and it’s still having the same problem.
