FAQs

We've put together the most asked questions around the NVIDIA 30 series launch. Please have a read though these before contacting our customer services team.

Can I buy a Founders Edition graphics card from Scan?

No. Scan work as a fulfilment partner for NVIDIA on the FE cards. These must be bought using the links on the NVIDIA website when stock is available.

What are you doing to ensure a fair supply of graphics cards to gamers?

For us its more important than ever to make sure that customers who want a card for their own use are actually able to buy from us.

Why have you removed the tables for the RTX 3070 and 3090?

We have reached a point where we have been able to offer all of the customers in the queues for these graphics cards at least one alternative option. The few pre-order customers remaining have decided to wait for the card that they have chosen and they also have the option to change to a different card should one come into stock.

There is no table for RTX 3060 Ti shipments. Why is this?

For the RTX 3060 Ti launch we changed our policy of accepting pre-orders and only sold the stock that we had for the launch. As there are no pre-orders waiting for RTX 3060 Ti as soon as new stock arrives it will be listed on the site for sale like any normal product.

Why do you take full payment for a pre-order?

If we did not charge, there would be a distorted queue as customers would simply register interest. This would give unrealistic forecasts for obvious reasons. Much in the same way as people book concert ticket, or pay for a seat on an airline ; you are paying for a future access to guarantee stock ; a pre-order works in exactly the same way.

What happened during the 3070 launch?

We went live at 1pm for the launch of the 3070 as planned. We knew that demand of this model would be extremely high and worked hard to upgrade our systems to try to cope with the demand. Even so we did see some significant slow downs on the website during the 30-minute period after the launch.
