Places of Worship
Nothing brings a community closer together than worship. La Vernia has numerous churches for many denominations that are warm and welcoming to all. Many of the City’s churches are very involved in the community and provide various activities and events throughout the year for all people to enjoy.
La Vernia Christian Food Pantry
Mission: The Mission of the La Vernia Christian Food Pantry is to glorify God by serving our community through our local churches joining together to assist with food donations.
Jane Yelvington McCallum Public Library
Mission: Our mission is to provide access to social and cultural ideas by offering a wide variety of materials and programs for educational, recreational and informational needs. The librarians have a special mission to encourage love of lifelong learning as well as developing broad community awareness of our services.
La Vernia Market Days
Mission: "It is our hope to make this a very family-friendly Market where people can come and enjoy shopping locally. We have a lot of talented Craftsmen and Artisan in our area and will give them an opportunity to show off their work. Our family enjoys building and creating things and we love to see what the local Artisan in the are are creating.
