The use of Stock Recognition in Mastercam can be extremely valuable in the lathe environment. Stock Recognition can be used to ensure all roughing passes are the same depth and also automatically update toolpaths if the stock sized is changed.
Why does Mastercam store the stock view with the WCS?
If you have several toolpaths in the machine group that use more than one WCS, Mastercam will use the stock view to keep the stock model constant when the WCS for each operation changes. Mastercam stores the stock view with the stock definition, independent of the WCS.

I don't too easily get frustrated to the point I see people getting frustrated here. I've always been a position that I just had to get the job done come hell or highwater and letting my blood boil while I'm trying to function in a stressful environment runs counter to what I need to do to accomplish said task.
