Anyone who has bought a book on Amazon.com or made other online purchases is familiar with the message: “Only 2 left in stock—order soon.” These days, because of the coronavirus crisis, customers are finding all sorts of products with little or nothing left in stock. This doesn’t reflect a marketing strategy from the sellers of these products.
