You simply hold the weapon by the barrel, (Make sure it's unloaded first) then swing batter swing. Sure keep some perspective as you might be strong enough to break the stock off. First you wham it on one side, then flip it over and wham it the opposite way.

How to get a stock out of a receiver?

Usually you can reach the stock from the inside of the receiver with the BCG removed. Place a blunt object such as a wooden dowel on the end of the stock and hammer that object until the stock pops out. That is what I usually do. Matter of fact, I did it last night.

Where is the donut hole on a receiver?

Another option., if the stock is part way removed., you can also look inside the receiver at the rear at the donut hole in the rear block. If you see light or opening at the front of that hole you can insert a large slotted screwdriver in that hole and pry forward to push the stock to the rear. Wiggle the stock as you do this etc.

Is split trunnion easier to drive?

The split trunnion should have been easier as you can drive it out from inside the receiver easier than a closed front donut hole trunnion.

Can you beat a stock into place?

The stock should be firmly seated but do not beat it into place. You will bend, bulge or crack the receiver or get it stuck as you have already learned.
