I know this thread is a couple years old, but for anyone reading this currently who has a 2010 or 2011 Soul (I can't speak for the '12s or newer), the radio trim bezel can be removed by inserting a suitable tool (preferably a flat, hooked tool, but a flat-head screwdriver might work too) in the small 1/2" or so slot on the bottom side of the trim bezel and pulling/prying it loose at the bottom, then pulling it the rest of the way off with your hands.
