I recently purchased my Elite Force 4CRS. I got quite a lot of external modifications except the flash hider is bugging me. Need advice on the easiest way to remove it that won't screw up threads. 14MM CCW threads under neath the flash hider so if I'm able to remove it what's a decent looking metal flash hider

If it's plastic and glued on, take a hair dryer and leave it running pointed toward the base of the flash hider for a few minutes, it'll usually soften whatever is holding the fh in place, as well as the fh itself. You should be able to twist the fh off with a leatherman then.

A bow/pot of hot water OR a blowdryer will do the trick. I often say hot water because I don't know many guys with a blowdryer.

Get a fire going and have the tip by it for a good while then grab with a pair of pliers and peel it off.

For some they use epoxy to hold it so you have to take a torch to it and wait until the flash hider starts to melt a bit. It sucks having to do that.

Mine had a pin in it that i had to pop out with a pick. Then i boiled it in water for 5 minutes, then took a cloth and twisted it off. You may still need some channel locks though.

I popped the pin out and after sitting in boiling water for 1-2 minutes I wrapped it in cloth and I got it off with a pair of pliers right away. I got a lot of glue off my threads and did all this without harming them. I replaced the orange flash hider with a noveske flash hider. (Loudener ^.^) and kept the orange tip for transport
