Although we changed the entire home screen, we still have many Samsung apps Which we can easily replace with Google Apps.
6. Remove Bloatware
Samsung phones come with a lot of pre-installed bloatware that we don't usually use. You can uninstall some, but not all apps. I still don't understand why I can't even delete Microsoft Office applications Which I don't use on my phone as it takes up a lot of space. Furthermore, Facebook is an app that we cannot uninstall.

Next, let’s ensure that Google Chrome is set as your default web browser. To do so, click the cog icon in the upper-right corner of your home screen, select Apps, and tap the three dots in the upper-right corner. Then, select Default apps from the resulting menu, tap Browser app, and check the bubble beside Chrome.
Choosing the appropriate dialer
Once you’ve set your default browser, it’s time to turn your attention to your dialer and contacts. There’s no stock version available for either (that we know of), but there is a decent clone in the Google Play Store called ExDialer.
Selecting a calendar
Now, let’s set Google Calendar as your go-to calendar app. The app should already be on your device, but if it’s not, you can pick it up from the Google Play Store. Once installed, go to the Settings menu, select Apps, and tap Calendar.

Although not exactly “stock” Android, one of the better features Google decided to bring to its Pixel lineup are living wallpapers. Custom lock screens on Android are a fickle thing, as they’re often filled with bugs and are unreliable. However, there are a couple that’ll get the job done, though not many.
Keyboards and Wallpapers
Nexy, you need a new keyboard and wallpaper to finalize the makeshift vanilla Android experience we’ve created. A Jelly Bean wallpaper package can be easily found in the Play Store. Anyone will do, but I used this one. A Ice Cream Sandwich wallpaper package can be found in the Play Store easily as well. Lastly, we need a new keyboard.
Final thoughts
It should only take you a few minutes to complete these steps. After you do though, you’ll have an awesome makeshift vanilla Android experience on any device of your choosing. If you’d like to break away from stock Android a tad bit, I like to download the Stark icon pack to freshen things up a little bit.

With Android, basically everything is managed through the launcher—the app that handles your home screens—so it’s one of the most dramatic changes you can make to your phone’s look and feel.
Switch to Google Keyboard
Touch keyboards on Android have come a long way over the last few years, and Google’s own offering is now one of the best out there. Like most other things Android, it’s clean and minimal, not full of “fluff” features that no one ever uses, but rather has a focus on accuracy and meaningful settings.
Use Google Camera
There’s a good chance that the stock camera app that comes with your phone is robust and full-featured, which is nice, but sometimes you just don’t need all that. If you want something simple and easy to use, Google Camera is the app for you.
Drop the Stock SMS App and Switch to Messenger
There is no shortage of messaging apps in Google Play, and even Google now has a bunch to choose from. But I think Google really got it right with Messenger, the new (ish) stock SMS app for Nexus devices. It uses Google’s Material Design user interface for a clean, sharp look, but it’s not just a pretty face—it works exceptionally well, too.
