What are the parts of a machine inlet gunstock?
Gun stock makers explain basic procedures for installing a machine inlet gunstock which we will be breaking into four parts; fitting, shaping, sanding and finishing. Stock makers always do gunstock duplication in this order. Never attempt to shape or finish a gun stock before fitting is complete.
How do you use Lin speed oil on gun stock?
Apply a generous amount of Lin-Speed Oil to the gun stock part by first pouring the oil into the palm of your hand and rubbing it directly into the grain of the wood for about 2 minutes . Remove all extra oil from the part. NOTE: EXCESS OIL WILL CAUSE GUMMY FEEL.
What tools do I need to install a new gunstock?
Note: a rotary grinding tool i.e. Foredom or Dremmel, while not mandatory, is an excellent advantage for any gunstock installer. In addition to a good assortment of small files (needle files) and standard size files, we recommend an assortment of stock makers chisels and scraping tools, which can be found in starter sets at most suppliers.

How much does an 870 trigger pull weigh?
Most 870s have a trigger pull weight of somewhere between 4 and 6 pounds. This is not bad at all for shotgunning. But there was so much creep in my 870’s trigger that I knew I could do better. Is it bad to wrap a gun?
The Install: Wrapping the gun isn’t that bad, but it takes time and patience. You’ll need an X-Acto knife and a blow-dryer. The kit comes with individual pieces for the barrel, forend, receiver, and stock. Stick a wrap on its designated gun part, being careful to avoid wrinkles and bubbles.
