My location specifically has a great variety of people with different personalities, interests, backgrounds and etc, very welcoming. It is a very engaging and free community and we really work as a team/ small family which makes work very enjoyable. However advancement is difficult even for those who deserve it.

The work place was productive and humble environment with great management and helpful managers and employees. Everyone comes in excited to help a customer find their own fit in jeans or other clothing styles and accessories.

As a aerie Associate, Times Square location has had many employees leave because of very poor aerie management, poor pay, unfair raises, and rude Human Resources. It was hard for any of my workmates to stay there past a year. HR tries to hire the most people to look good for the company, but with unfair 4 hour shifts 2 days a week, Low pay.

When I first started I loved it until I bumped heads with a former manager and ran into some favoritism and other issues as time went on.. the pay is typical minimum wage you'll make more as a sales person on your check every two weeks but be prepared to be micro managed to sell and talk to customers.

The work itself is fairly simple as a stock associate. Keep yourself well time managed during tasks and the day will go by smoothly. Much of the reason I stayed was because I really liked the people I worked with.

Fun job, great clothes, hard work
Everyday was a ton of work and we were expected to work all parts of the store, however, I loved the job minus a few terrible customers. The perks and discounts were fantastic, and my coworkers and managers were great people.

if youre fine with being paid the bare minimum while also doing way more than your job description entails, watching management be incredibly hypocritical, not being heard or listened to by your managers, and no opportunities for advancement, then American Eagle is the place for you.

Poor management. Very low pay
You do not get commission. You get paid a very low salary even though you sell high priced items. Management sucked. They take two hour lunches when they are only allowed 30 minutes like the rest of us. I do not recommend working here. Not worth it.
An okay place to work short term
You will quickly realize working here the level of favoritism between management and associates. If that doesnt bother you then this is an okay place to work.
