Some have a lot of voltage on them and some have less, stock FX 8350 VCore ranges anywhere from 1.315 to 1.392V depending on chip binning. Anyway, my guess is you should be able to lower the VCore to the 1.2V range, somewhere along the lines of 1.225-1.275V.
What voltage should I Set my 8350 to?
Many 8350's are set at 1.375 when put on Turbo (which is more than necessary) and my personal 8350 has a stock recommended voltage of 1.275 minimum when not turbo-ing. I would personally start at around 1.3 V myself, then see if it's stable, if not, I'd slowly go up.
What CPU cooler do you use for your FX 8320?
I personally have a FX 8320 and use a ZEROtherm ZEN FZ120 120mm CPU Cooler but i replaced the stock fan (which was adequate) with a fan optimized for silent operation. It keeps the cpu at around 50 degrees Celsius.
Why is my FX-8350 so hot?
You could also lower the frequency slightly, let's say down to 3.5 Ghz, from bios or software. Think of the FX8350 as a more or less factory overclocked processor, to reach 4.0-4.2 ghz , and in order to achieve that they raised the default voltages a lot which produces heat.
How hard is it to tame an 8350?
Yeah 8350's really aren't hard to tame with coolers like the H7/212 Evo with a reasonable overclock, even with the fact that the ohshit zone starts at like 65C or so.

 Get a better cooler.

Does the FX 8350 run hot?
First your FX8350 Maximum Operating Temperature is 61C. Which means once it starts reaching that temperature or surpasses it, The processor automatically starts to throttle to keep the temps at or below 61C. At 85C you processor should have shut the computer down before being damaged.
Is too much Undervolt?
Undervolting is never physically harmful. The worst that can happen is BSOD's from the voltage being too low, but that won't damage anything.
What is the TDP of AMD FX 8350?
With a TDP of 125 W, the FX-8350 consumes a lot of power, so good cooling is definitely needed. AMD's processor supports DDR3 memory with a dual-channel interface.
Can you Undervolt your CPU?
Undervolting your CPU is usually safe. That is not to say that it can't be done wrong, though. If you happen to undervolt your processor too much, your computer may experience instability, crashes, and lowered performance. Most common issues include the blue screen of death (BSOD) and freezes.
Can low voltage damage GPU?
You won't damage your GPU by undervolting it, but you do risk losing a bit of stability. You'll have to decide if the power savings and cooler operation is worth the slight risk of instability. If you do decide to undervolt your GPU, stress test it for a few hours to make sure it holds up.
Is undervolting good for gaming?
In conclusion, undervolting is a great way to reduce power, heat, and noise from your system. You'll often be able to maintain the same or even better clock performance, too. This also opens up possibilities to put powerful GPUs in smaller cases.
What is the AMD FX 8350 equivalent to?
We believe that the nearest equivalent to FX-8350 from Intel is Pentium 4 560, which is nearly equal in speed and higher by 2 positions in our rating.
Does FX-8350 have AVX?
AMD 8350 Overview technology (Cool 'n' Quiet technology). It also features Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX), Floating-Point Vector Multiply-Accumulate and eXtended Operations (FMA4 & XOP), and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).
Does AMD FX 8350 have TPM?
Yes, your motherboard has a TPM module connector.

Is undervolting harmful?
Undervolting your CPU is completely safe. There is no physical/electrical mechanism associated with undervolting that can cause damage to your CPU.
Can you Undervolt in BIOS?
Intel Undervolting. Intel's overclocking or undervolting can be done through the Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel XTU) or BIOS.

Just wondering i ran prime95 and it says that the max core voltage is 1.368. Is it safe for me to slowly lower the voltage to see how low i can run at stock or is 1.368 the actual max voltage for my current core speed?
Priller
1.368 volts is the max voltage the CPU sees while under load. That is not the max voltage you can use on the CPU.

I just went into bios and it says that the voltage is at 1.4125. Its on auto btw. So is it safe for me to lower the voltage all the way down to 1.368 since thats the max voltage at max load?
