i have an i5 8400 with the stock cooler, is it safe? i haven´t find temperature benchmarks with that cpu, so i don´t know if i should change it to avoid a shot lifespan of the cpu

It is "enough", but the cooler is really loud. Pick up a cheap aftermarket cooler like an Arctic Freezer 33 eSports ONE for ~$30.

I've recently purchased a 9400F for my new build and I am unsure if i should by bigger and better cooler for it. My previous system had a Ryzen 3 1400 in it and it ran fine with the stock cooler but since my new cpu has more cores and threads. Does it need a better cooler?

RIP indeed, although it makes some sense. Anyone that cares enough about temps to care about the 5 degree-ish swing would be buying an aftermarket cooler anyway.
