At the lagoon, the only boating allowed is non-powered watercraft. Camping, fishing, picnicking, and trails for bicycling, horseback riding, and hiking are also available at Castaic Lake SRA. To access the lake, visitors enter through the main park entrance on Castaic Lake Drive.

The lake has little or no boat traffic and these two techniques dominate. The spring allows a variety of lures to be super productive. The jig in a brown/purple color and a drop shot are tough to beat. The swim bait is still a major player also. Fish will be up-and-in. Try to focus your efforts in less than 20 feet of water.
